HD Video (sound, 5’21”)
How far is it? shows the measurement of the distance between the top of the head of the artist and the ground floor from two opposite directions. This measurement does not correspond with the actual body height: it is an analysis of the skin area of the left side of the body.
A slow tracking shot with micro optics shows only the bare skin surface and the consecutively rising numbers on a measuring tape without any postproduction.
There will be no usable result of the measurement – it is impossible due to the concept of counting from two opposite directions.
And there is no accurate estimation of any distance which correlates the subjective perception of the environment when the contact of foot and floor that you perceive step by step is ignored.
