Dance/Choreographic by Andrea Nagl

The piece is inspired by microscopic movements in nature which are translated in a minimalistic choreographic language.
Multiple macro video recordings of plants, insects or microscopic views of cells are not only the visual footage for live projections but also a reference for a dancer like a bionic code. The concrete movements as well as the position of the dancer in space and the choreographic structure can be defined through living organisms.
The video footage is manipulated live for abstraction and is projected on a screen in real time. In addition a slowly increasing wall of sound generated by visual movements accompanies the varying visual elements.
